Simple exercise for total body workout

Many people look up online workouts and find some huge man or woman lifting massive weights. Lots of pictures of overhead presses or bicep curls, am I right? The really progressive sites throw in a picture of a lunge or split squat and act like it is mind blowing.

Those are pretty massive weights

Lifting large weights and adhering to body building workouts that target specific muscle groups are part of a much longer routine and more days in the gym. Individually, bodybuilding exercises also aren't functional total body movements. You can try this one exercise to get some solid results across multiple muscle groups and systems.

Today's example is called the single arm clean.

You start with your weight on the floor, flexed at your hips and back straight.

Grab the weight with one hand. Your shoulder will turn towards the floor, rotating at the hip.

Pushing through your feet, stand straight up and rotate your arm towards your chest.

This exercise will engage your legs, hips, glutes, and torso.

Try this exercise for ten repetitions on each side.
